girl survivor

A 16-year-old girl, reportedly raped in Bihar, set herself on fire to bring an end to her life. When many people in the village came to know about the incident, the girl was reportedly upset. On Wednesday, three suspects were arrested in connection with the rape and murder of a woman.

The teenager’s father alleged that four teenagers from her village allegedly assaulted her on January 3 and set her up. The girl’s father works at a private firm in Jalandhar.

Family pressurized to cremate teen
Forensic investigators, after being alerted, entered the room where the teenager’s burned corpse was found and samples were gathered. Allegedly, without alerting the police, the teen’s family was forced to dispose of the remains.

The initial investigation found that among his peers, a boy living in the same area leaked private images of the teenager. Several boys from the same village learned about the girl’s relations with the boy and the same allegedly caused her stress, The Times of India reported.

The girl then locked herself and set herself ablaze inside the apartment. From the inside, the room was sealed and must have been broken. Rajesh Kumar Sharma said, according to Saraiya SDPO, that some of the villagers reportedly forced the teenager’s grandparents to cremate the body.

“When her father arrived at Muzaffarpur, the villagers kept pressuring him for two days not to take up the matter,” Sharma said. He said that raids are being conducted to nab the other accused at the earliest.
