While Chief Minister Nitish Kumar of Bihar, who also owns the home portfolio, asked DGP SK Singhal to ensure a speedy trial in the event, an arrest is yet to be made by the Patna Police.
Kumar, criticizing reporters for asking him questions, accused the media of “trying to demoralise” the police force of Bihar. The CM reported that the Rupesh Kumar murder case is being investigated by the State Police Forum
“The murder of Rupesh Kumar Singh is unfortunate, and police are investigating the case. The media should not forget that the government was cracking down on crime and criminals,” Kumar said.
