The mega COVID-19 vaccination campaign that the Center said is “probably the beginning of the end” of coronavirus has started today across the nation with over 3 lakh healthcare workers being inoculated on the first day.
Via his virtual speech, Prime Minister Narendra Modi unveiled the much-anticipated software at 3,006 session sites across all states and Union territories.
In the battle against the coronavirus pandemic, PM Modi had earlier said the country would enter a “decisive phase” India will launch the pan-Indian rollout of the COVID-19 Vaccination Campaign tomorrow, 16 January. The launch will take place tomorrow morning at 10:30,” he said in a Friday tweet.
The first person to receive the COVID-19 vaccine jab at AIIMS would be a sanitation worker. Also present is Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan.
