During their proposed tractor rally in Delhi on January 26, the masked man who alleged that a plot had been hatched to kill four farmer leaders now said he had been kidnapped by farmers and forced to lie.

This statement was given to Haryana Police by a masked man identified as Yogesh, a 19-year-old resident of Sonipat.
The man said that farmers thrashed him by hanging him upside down, in the video accessed by Times Now.

‘The farmers were thrashing me, denying me alcohol,’
The farmers forced him to drink alcohol after beating him in black and blue, and threatened him to make a false statement to the media during a press conference. He was also attacked by the protesting farmers, saying he would be killed and nobody would know about it.
The Haryana Police also recovered photographs of four farmer leaders – Balbir Singh Rajewal, Baldev Singh Sirsa, Kuldeep Sandhu and Jagjeet Singh – from his mobile phone.
At a press conference late on Friday night on the Singhu border, Yogesh was paraded in front of the media by the farmers’ leaders. He then said in front of the camera that during the planned tractor rally in the national capital on Republic Day, his accomplices were allegedly asked to pose as police and baton-charge the crowd.

Following a press conference, Yogesh was handed over to the police.
“We had planned to stop farmers from moving ahead during January 26 rally and if they did not stop, we had planned to first fire in the air and then our other teammates were to fire from behind so that the police officials present at the spot think that the farmers are firing at them,” ANI quoted him as saying.

He further claimed that they are a team of 10 people including two women.

He had also claimed that the person who was giving them orders was a cop.
