On Friday, a 27-year-old man was hacked to death by his father-in-law and his wife’s uncle, allegedly against their inter-caste marriage in the Palakkad district of Kerala.
Prabhu Kumar, the father-in-law, and Uncle Suresh were taken into custody by the police in connection with Aneesh’s murder.
According to the police, in the middle of opposition from the latter side, Aneesh married a woman who belonged to a comparatively affluent family and to another caste, three months ago.
Heated fights broke out between both sides shortly after their union.
As Aneesh was on his way back home on Friday evening, the duo waylaid him. He was then struck by sharp stones.
