On January 7, the critically acclaimed actor Pankaj Tripathi drama ‘Kaagaz’ will premiere on ZEE5. Presented by superstar Salman Khan, the film is based on the life of Azamgarh’s Bharat Lal aka Lal Bihari, who has fought an 18year legal fight to prove he is alive.
Actordirector Satish Kaushik said he was intrigued by Lal Bihari Mritak’s story and is grateful to Khan and ZEE5 for supporting his vision. “I have done a lot of research into the events that have taken place in his life, eventually, it felt to me that this story was worth telling to the world and we couldn’t have asked for a better production partner to present it than Salman Khan Films (SKF) and then ZEE5. Now for the viewer, it’s just a click away,” Kaushik said in a statement. Tripathi said he was happy to be part of such an exciting “Kaagaz” story.
My personality is going to be very different from some of my previous projects, and I’m excited to be part of an inspirational story like that. It is important to hear this story and I am confident that ZEE5 will give it the scope it deserves,’ he said. The SKF spokesperson said the team is looking forward to beginning 2021 with “Kaagaz” on a high note.
