A heartwarming anecdote about Shah Rukh Khan was shared by veteran actor Satish Shah, with whom he has worked in many films. Among many others, they have worked together on films such as Main Hoon Na, Kal Ho Naa Ho, Ra.One and Om Shanti Om.
But Satish’s story was about the 2003 film Chalte Chalte, featuring the lead roles of Shah Rukh and Rani Mukerji. He wrote in a tweet earlier this week that he had earned some extra money for his work on the film, and when he told Shah Rukh about it, he told Shah Rukh about it.
Directed by Aziz Mirza, Chalte Chalte was produced by the now-defunct Dreamz Unlimited — the production banner of Shah Rukh and Juhi Chawla. With wife Gauri Khan, Shah Rukh turned the banner into Red Chillies Entertainment, which debuted its first film, Main Hoon Na, in 2004.
Shah Rukh was last seen in the critical and commercial failure of 2018, Zero, on the big screen. However, he has continued to release both films and streaming series via his production banner, such as Badla, Betaal
The actor recently returned to set and started work on the Pathan of director Sidharth Anand, featuring Deepika Padukone and John Abraham as well. A source was quoted by Mid-Day as saying, “The first schedule will be a two-month affair focusing solely on portions of Shah Rukh, after which the unit will take a New Year’s break.” The second stint, scheduled for January 2021, will be joined by Deepika Padukone and John Abraham, who play the antagonist. Pat, like Siddharth’s previous War[2019] outing, pathan is going to be a sleek and slick revenge story. Adi and Siddharth have carved out dramatic scenes featuring them since the film marks the first on-screen union of Shah Rukh and John.
