Actor Sonu Sood has spoken about the unity that the film industry preaches about, but doesn’t really practice. He said that it’s disappointing to observe some members of the film industry question it.

In an interview, he said that Bollywood is still divided by barriers, and that the chains that can bind the industry together are ‘missing’.
Asked about this year’s “constant” media trial by the film industry, Sonu told Bollywood Hungama, in Hindi, “I was bothered, of course, but what really upset me was seeing some of our own people speak against the industry.” That’s the business he’s leaving our homes and families for. It is an industry where wishes are realized. And now, you can understand how it would have inspired us to see people point their fingers at it.
He said that, from this perspective, the industry should learn. We just want to think we’re one big family, but there are missing chains that can tie us. People are associated with others, and no one reaches out to compliment you or give guidance. They’re all limited. They’re said to be part of Bollywood, but they’ve built challenges around themselves,’ he said.

Sonu concluded, “From this, we should all learn.” People admire success in this industry, but when you struggle, no one provides help.

Actor Kangana Ranaut was attacked by film industry representatives earlier this year for claiming that it is a hotbed of vice. She said 99% of the industry has been subjected to drugs, an argument that many, such as Jaya Bachchan, Raveena Tandon, Hansal Mehta and others, have slammed.

For his attempts to assist the oppressed during the coronavirus lockout, Sonu, meanwhile, won applause. He helped many migrants back home and provided work opportunities and funds for those who came.
Earlier, after the original director was fired from the project and Kangana took over, Sonu and Kangana had an argument when he left the film Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi. In an interview, she indicated that Sonu was not comfortable being directed by a woman, but original filmmaker Krish said Sonu was upset about the dramatic rewrite of his part.
