कैलिफोर्निया (California) के लॉस एंजेलिस (Los Angeles) के डॉल्बी थिएटर (Dolby Theater) में ऑस्कर अवार्ड 2022 (Oscar Awards 2022) का आयोजन हुआ है। जहां बेस्ट डॉक्यूमेंट्री फीचर की कैटेगरी में ‘द समर ऑफ सोल’ ने बाजी मारी और अपनी झोली में ऑस्कर को बटोरा। हॉलीवुड एक्टर (Hollywood Actor) Will Smith को फिल्म ‘किंग रिचर्ड’ (King Richard) के लिए बेस्ट एक्टर का ऑस्कर अवॉर्ड मिला। यह समय Smith के लिए बहुत ही भावपूर्ण रहा। और अवॉर्ड लेते समय वह मंच पर रो पड़े। उन्होंने आंसू पोंछते हुए अपनी पूरी टीम को शुक्रिया कहा।
इसके बाद बेस्ट फिल्म का अवार्ड ‘कोडा’ को मिला। ऑस्कर के बेस्ट फिल्म से सम्मानित होने के बाद फिल्म की पूरी कास्ट को ऑस्कर में स्टैंडिंग ओवेशन दिया गया। ‘The Eyes of Tammy Faye’ के लिए जैसिका चैस्टेन (Jessica Chastain) को बेस्ट एक्ट्रेस का अवॉर्ड मिला है। बता दें कि भारत की फिल्म ‘राइटिंग विद फायर’ को भी बेस्ट डॉक्यूमेंट्री फीचर श्रेणी में नामांकित किया गया था। जो अवॉर्ड जीतने में नाकामयाब रही। ‘राइटिंग विद फायर’ का निर्देशन रिंटू थॉमस और सुष्मित घोष ने मिलकर किया है।
