When 2021 rolls in, WhatsApp is all set to get some new functionality. Of course, the messaging app operated by Facebook continues to add handy features to its arsenal, and there are many in the pipeline, here are three features that will come very soon.
- The ability to paste several chat items
WhatsApp’s beta for iOS 2.21.10.23 is the first beta dedicated to the new year, according to WABetaInfo, and carries with it the ability to paste numerous photos and videos into WhatsApp. WABetaInfo added that users can pick several images or videos from their photo gallery once this function rolls out and tap on ‘Export’ and ‘Copy’. Now, when you open WhatsApp and paste the content in the chat bar, all the images/videos will be captured. - WhatsApp audio and video calls on your browser and desktop
The good news is the audio and video call feature is coming to the desktop soon for all those people who use WhatsApp on the desktop. You will be able to do just the same thing online, just as WhatsApp calls on your mobile. WhatsApp, however, will go into beta next year for a limited launch of this feature and even the call buttons will have beta labels. - Update to the Terms and Privacy Policy of WhatsApp
Both WhatsApp users will have to adhere to the revised terms and privacy policy, and you will have to uninstall your WhatsApp account if you fail to do so. WhatsApp will update its terms of service beginning on February 8, as stated by WABetaInfo, although this date may be subject to change.
