2020 has taken the transport market to a halt. Our passports were also left useless when we were isolated within our houses. However, with a recent listing of the world’s most strong passports, the revised Henley and Partners Passport Index of 2021 has come out, and India ranks 85th on the new list.
INDIA RANKS 85 ON INDEX ON PASSPORT
The Indian passport on the revised 2021 list was ranked 85th. India took 84th place last year. The Indian passport has a ranking of 58, which means that 58 countries without a previous visa are visited by Indian passport holders. India and Tajikistan shared the ranks.
Japan, with a visa-free ranking of 191, again topped the chart. For three consecutive years, the nation has held the spot, either alone or jointly, with Singapore. This year, with 190 nations, Singapore is in second place.
As for the third slot, another Asian nation shared the spot with a European national. A total of 189 points went to South Korea and Germany. The top three passports in the world are Japan, Singapore, South Korea and Germany.

The fourth position was shared by Finland, Italy, Luxembourg and Spain with a visa-free score of 188. As for the UK and US passports, they constituted the top 10 powerful passports with 7th rank. Last year, both the passports shared the 8th rank.

Afghanistan’s passport got the last position this year too, and came out as the world’s worst passport with a score of 26. Pakistan, on the other hand, got fourth-last rank with a score of 32.
