A 19-year-old woman who worked as a maid was found hanging from the ceiling in the apartment of her employer in the Sector-19 district of Dwarka, police said on Sunday.
They said the deceased was named as Shivani, a resident of Goyla Dairy.
According to the police, they received information on Friday that a servant was found hanging in a flat in the Dwarka Sector-19 apartment in Akshardham.
Police discovered that Ashish Thakur had taken the rented flat and had been staying there for the past four or five years with his wife and two children.
The husband-wife pair in Gurgaon act as software engineers, police said.
They find Shivani hanging from a piece of fabric. No visible damage to the body was seen, police said.
At DDU Hospital, the post-mortem was carried out and the body was handed over to the members of the family, police said, adding that further investigation is underway.
