Opposition parties in Goa on Sunday requested the abdication of state Chief Minister Pramod Sawant, blaming him for offering a bogus expression in the Assembly over the Mahadayi waterway water redirection issue.
Congress, Goa Forward Party (GFP) and Independent MLA Rohan Khaunte looked for the abdication in the wake of pushing Arvind Datar, who addresses the state government in the Supreme Court regarding Mahadayi water question guaranteed that he didn’t contradict the warning of grant of the Inter-State Water Dispute Tribunal as he was told to do as such.
The attorney’s assertion came in inconsistency to the answer given by Sawant in the House, wherein he had reprimanded the legal counselor for taking the choice of not contradicting the notice of the honor all alone.
Head of Opposition Digambar Kamat, GFP pioneer Vijai Sardesai and Khaunte took to Twitter to scrutinize Sawant and look for his renunciation, albeit the last likewise tweeted that the public authority had not given any guidelines to restrict the notice
