On Wednesday, Karnataka reported 746 new coronavirus cases and three deaths, raising the number of infections to 9,29,552 and the toll to 12,152.
With two more cases identified, the number of patients infected with the UK strain of coronavirus rose to 13, the health department said.
It reported that to date, 46 UK returnees and 26 of their key contacts have tested positive for COVID-19.
There were as many as 1,13,515 tests conducted on Wednesday, including 1,06,592 using the RT-PCR and other techniques, the department said, bringing the cumulative tests completed so far to 1.56 crore.
The overall case load consisted of 9,08,494 discharges, including 765 today, while 8,887 were active cases, including 193 ICU patients.
The urban district of Bengaluru registered 426 new cases and two fatalities.
In general, 3,93,673 illnesses, 4,352 fatalities, 3,83,642 discharges, including 385 on Wednesday, and 5,678 active cases have been reported by the city.
In Chikkaballapura, 31 in Mysuru, 24 each in Chitradurga and Davangere, 20 in Dakshina Kannada, 18 each in Hassan, Belagavi and Bengaluru Rural District, 17 in Ballari, 16 in Kalaburagi, 39 infections have been registered in a health department bulletin.
In Bagalkote, Chamarajanagar, Chikkamagaluru, Dharwad, Gadag and Kodagu, cases have also been registered.
