A laboratory technician working at a private hospital allegedly ended his life inside the operation theatre after a quarrel with his fiancee on the phone in a shocking incident reported from the Meerut district of Uttar Pradesh.
The case took place when he injected some ‘medicine’ on Thursday night. A investigation into the incident was launched by the police.
A doctor identified as Sandeep Garg at the hospital said the man seemed to have injected himself with anesthesia.
“His wedding was fixed a few days ago as Roka ceremony was done. It is said there were some 30 calls from his fiancee on Thursday night and there was some dispute between the two,” Dr Garg quoted the article as saying.
The deceased man is considered to be Fateh Singh, a resident of Sherkot area in Bulandshahr district.
After other employees went to sleep at about 1.30 am on the intervening night of Thursday and Friday and committed suicide, Singh went inside the operation theater.
