Months after falling out with Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, Sachin Pilot, former Deputy Chief Minister and President of the Rajasthan Pradesh Congress Committee, attended the 136th foundation day program of the party in Delhi, keeping a distance from Jaipur.
Congress celebrated its 136th founding day program on Monday at the central office in Delhi and at all other state headquarters throughout the country, but the pressure in the party’s Rajasthan unit was evident once again when Pilot
The AICC welcomed members of the Congress Working Committee and MPs to the headquarters for the Foundation Day program and the program was attended by pilots who do not fall under either group.
According to reports, Pilot did not want to create any controversy.
Notably, Congress has delegated a committee of senior leaders to address the gaps between the Gehlot and Pilot camps, including the AICC in charge of Ajay Maken.
Many internal appointments and political assignments are on the cards for the National State Body and are likely to be reported shortly. “A shortlist will be announced soon, and then a detailed list will be out later,” a source said.
Ajay Maken, the head of state, attends meetings with politicians and party workers, and he recently met Pilot in Delhi for this reason.
Though Pilot is missing events in Jaipur and reaching out to Delhi, it can be seen as a pause in the political storm of the state, or there is another storm brewing that keeps Pilot quiet.
