Pilots from Air India asked the management of the airline to provide them with descriptions of the independent Sars-CoV-2 phylogenetic cluster found in the United Kingdom (UK).

In a letter to its chief executive officer on Tuesday, the frontliners pointed out that, since the beginning of the pandemic, Air India has taken the lead in rescue missions, the transport of vital cargo, and the operation of evacuation and repatriation flights around the world. The pilots therefore need all the information that can be given to them about the current Sars-CoV-2 virus strain that causes coronavirus disease (Covid-19).

According to health researchers, the current version can be transferred 70 percent faster.

“The letter read, “The business is obligated to obtain and disseminate knowledge relating to Covid-19. In this respect, we enable the organization to collect details from the laboratories and immediately notify all pilots who have tested positive and pilots who may test positive if they are contaminated with this deadlier version of Sars-CoV-2 in the future.
“We demand this in the interests of the nation, Air India’s frontline workers and their families to ensure that this deadlier lineage does not get a foothold in our homes and are hopeful that the company and government will not hesitate to provide this critical information promptly.”
