With each passing day, the political temperature in West Bengal rises as political parties fight over a range of public issues. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will fly to the poll-bound state on Thursday to engage in direct electioneering.

PM Modi will speak at an election rally in Purulia at 11 a.m., according to the saffron party’s schedule. PM Modi said ahead of his visit to Bengal that there is a desire for change in the state, with the BJP’s agenda of good governance striking a chord with the people.

“I’m looking forward to spending tomorrow, March 18th, with my West Bengal sisters and brothers. I’d be speaking at a rally in Purulia. There is a need for improvement in West Bengal. The BJP’s agenda of good governance is resonating with the public “He sent out a tweet.

Mamata Banerjee, the TMC supremo and West Bengal Chief Minister, spoke at a rally in Purulia just a few days ago, offering free rations to the poor and accusing the Modi government of running the country in an autocratic manner. She also referred to Prime Minister Narendra Modi as a “incompetent” politician “who is incapable of running the country.”

“Civil society members who speak out against the government are silenced…political parties are silenced. BJP hatao desh bachao, I will continue to fight against such practises “she claimed.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Modi will fly to Assam today to speak at an election rally. In Karimganj, the rally will take place.

“Tomorrow, March 18th, I will be in Assam. During the rally in Karimganj, I am looking forward to being among the people of this great state. Over the last five years, Assam has seen positive improvements in a number of industries. To continue the development agenda, the NDA seeks the blessings of the people “The Prime Minister sent out a tweet.

In 2016, the saffron party defeated the Congress for the first time in Assam. This election, the party has set a target of winning 100 seats or more in the 126-member House. The BJP is running in the elections with the Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) and the United People’s Party Liberal (UPPL) (UPPL).

Three phases of polling will take place in the northeast from March 27 to April 6. On March 27, the first step will cover 47 seats. On April 1, the second phase will cover 39 seats, and on April 6, the third phase will cover 40 seats. The results will be announced on May 2nd. The 126-member House of Representatives’ term will end on May 31. The BJP-led coalition won 80 seats in the previous election in 2016.
