A17-year-old gang rape victim died at birth on Saturday in Theni District of Tamil Nadu.
The girl lived in Nagalapuram village in the Theni district with her grandparents. He complained of a stomach ache two months ago and was admitted to a local hospital. Her grandparents were surprised to hear she was 8 months pregnant.
The girl told them, when asked, that two men had repeatedly sexually abused her.
She was admitted to the hospital again on Saturday and gave birth to a daughter, who tragically died during childbirth.
The family of the deceased lodged a report with the police of Bodi Taluk, who have launched an investigation.
