BJP leader JP Nadda is expected to visit the poll-bound state next week, almost a month after his convoy was targeted in West Bengal.

Nadda is expected to visit the state where elections are set to take place later this year, on 9 December, between April and May.
The BJP leader had previously visited the state last month when some TMC employees reportedly assaulted his convoy with bricks and stones. The convoy was targeted near Kolkata on December 10 while it was on its way to Diamond Harbour in the district of South 24 Parganas to attend a party workers’ conference.
The incident led to a political slugfest in the state between the Centre and the Trinamool Congress administration, led by Mamata Banerjee.

Following the attack, three IPS State officials, who were on duty at the time of the incident, were summoned by the Union Home Ministry to serve on a central deputation.
